Drill Bits - 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2” bit with countersink for #8 screw (Are these the countersink bits)

T20 Star Drive bit for #8 stainless steel deck screws

T25 Star Drive bit for #8 stainless steel deck screws (Are we going to 100% T25)

Paint and Stain

The museum supplies water-based paints and stain for each builder. The colors include red paint for the bottom, white paint for the sides, and cedar stain for general use. Boat builders may supply their own paint and stain if desired. Any paint or stain supplied by the builder, however, should be water-based rather than oil-based to ensure compatibility with the supplied materials. The drying time for water-based paints aligns with the timing of this boat-building process, and oil-based paints are slow to dry and messy!
