Each build day starts at 8:00 a.m sharp - listen for the Bosun's Whistle.

We encourage you to arrive by 7:45 a.m. to ensure you are ready to build.

Lunch is from 12:00 to 12:30, and plastic cups and ice water will be available. Please put your name on your cup and reuse it as many times as possible.

As for food, please bring enough for your family. The dining hall is air-conditioned, and there are multiple bathrooms. There are several local establishments that can serve you, but make sure you call ahead.

A typical day ends between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., but be prepared to stay longer if needed.

Before you leave for the day, secure your tools and clean up all sawdust, wood chips, and other boat-building-related mess.

When using paint, stain, and adhesives, take care to keep your tools and work area clean. Don't step on something and track it across the floor. We will find you!

Please arrive no later than 9:30 a.m. on Saturday to start bailing water from your boat. The boat race starts at 10:00 a.m. sharp, so make sure you tell your friends and family. The Holly Point Market is the same day, so enjoy the grounds and have fun!

After the boat race, Crew members and builders will carry each boat from the water's edge, up the hill, and load it onto your trailer or into your truck. Please plan to stick around and help, as many hands make for light work!
